Maryland has consistently led the charge in sustainable, alternative energy investment and technology however our representatives in District 33 have not supported investment in wind, solar, and hydro-electric power.
Now, with the roll-backs on energy standards coming out of Washington, DC, Maryland has an opportunity to be a national leader in investment to reverse the effects of climate change and fossil fuels. As your Delegate, I will fight against any repeal of our clean energy standards and will work to push the current timeline of 50% renewable energy by 2030 to 75%, with investments in retraining programs to ensure not only job growth in sustainable energy technology but also job security for those working in the field of fossil fuel energy.
