MD Business Relief Wizard

A new online tool has launched this afternoon to help Maryland's small businesses figure out which coronavirus relief and emergency funding programs you can and should apply for. It is the Maryland Business Relief Wizard, and was developed by Baltimore software firm Mindgrub Technologies. It offers an online portal that can guide you through a series of questions, then sort through every known COVID-19 relief funding program available from the federal, state and local governments, to determine which programs a business may qualify for. Maryland businesses and non-profits can access the tool for free.

To help small business owners and entrepreneurs better understand the new programs that will soon be available to them, we have created a comprehensive guide to many of the small business provisions in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act that was just passed by Congress. These programs and initiatives are intended to assist business owners with whatever needs they have right now.

When implemented, there will be many new resources available for small businesses, as well as certain non-profits and other employers. This guide provides information about the major programs and initiatives that will soon be available from the Small Business Administration (SBA) to address these needs, as well as some additional tax provisions that are outside the scope of SBA.

Annapolis, MD (March 27, 2020) County Executive Steuart Pittman announced today that the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks will open three Essential Personnel School Age (EPSA) sites to offer childcare services for essential employees working during the COVID-19 pandemic. This service is open only to those individuals defined under Governor Hogan's executive order of March 25, 2020.

This resource was put together to keep those at risk of severe illness from COVID-19 away from the Emergency Department and general public. Those 65 and older are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. They are also the ones who still need care for their chronic diseases. Access to physicians may be limited due to the current crisis. This hotline was established for seniors who cannot get treatment from their regular doctor and want to avoid going out in public. We are also available to answer your COVID-19 questions and concerns. All services are covered by Medicare. There are no out of pocket costs for patients.
